039: Dragon Ball Retrospective

2

Krystal joins Matt and Chris in this episode as we start off talking about conventions, cosplays, and parental reactions.  Krystal has gotten to know several famous voice actors and she also gives her opinions on the last episode’s bullying discussion.  We then have a chaotic and outrageous discussion about one of the greatest Japanese franchises ever created.  We go through a retrospective of the Dragon Ball series where we talk about each of the arcs while giving our thoughts and opinions.  This might be one of the most insane episodes yet.  Upon finishing the retrospective we talk about some new videogames including Twisted Metal and go into stories from working at the old gaming card shop, what 3DS games we’re looking forward to, what we find important in relationships, and more.

Very good episode, Krystal did well too; I was quite surprised that she guessed the end of my third question before Matt finished it.

Also I was anticipating her to mention “I have no mouth and I must scream” when she was talking about a old, scary, computer game. I haven’t played it, but I have watched a playthrough of it and man is it a creepy game, I had trouble sleeping after seeing the bad ending. Fun fact about the game: The original writer of the novel also wrote the story for the video game version and did the voice of the main Villain(the super computer, AM).

Great episode, always been a fan of dragonball. I would have prefered a more indepth analysis of each arc and specific episodes, but that would’ve taken a long ass time. Anyways, in additionto my questions from last week that I didn’t post in time…

    1. What is your opinion on franchises that relize a new game every year, such as CoD, Assassin’s creed, and Insert generic sport game here? I personally hate when companies do this but still find myself purchasing most of the new AC titles whenever they come out… Would either of you purchase a game from a series you like even if you know they company is trying to milk it for all it’s worth??

    2. In your opinion, who is the strongest human character in Dragon ball Z? I’ve heard arguments for Tien, Krillin, and even Yamcha (lol).
