041: The Breakdown

Chris and Krystal start off the episode talking about communication and people that somehow seem to be incapable of engaging in it.  We then get t learn a little more about Krystal as she goes a bit more into her nerd background and where’ she’s come from.  Following that, we then talk about some gaming news including Operation Rainfall and The Last Story getting announced for the US by Xseed Games as well as some new releases such as Binary Domain and Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2.  We then make our way to the Q&A where we talk some hot button items such as what our favorite movies are and what makes good comedy movies, meeting people and the glomping that goes on at anime conventions, random Subway nonsense, our favorite videogame characters to play as, and much more!

040: Dragon Ball Z Retrospective

Krystal once again joins Matt and Chris as we start off the episode talking about the infamous “Facebook Parenting” video and the controversies surrounding it.  Chris questions at what point did it become acceptable by society for adults to start joining in on Internet drama bullshit with their children.  We then move onto the main topic of this episode which is Dragon Ball Z.  We break down the legendary series where Goku is now a man, new rivals appear, space adventures are had, and unsuspecting civilians get turned into candy.  Of course you can expect plenty ridiculous comments, as per usual.  Also in the episode we talk about some new releases such as Asura’s Wrath and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater on the 3DS.  We also talk about our favorite main and non-main series Pokemon games, some guys called The Creatures on YouTube, Kingdom Hearts, and a bunch more.

039: Dragon Ball Retrospective

Krystal joins Matt and Chris in this episode as we start off talking about conventions, cosplays, and parental reactions.  Krystal has gotten to know several famous voice actors and she also gives her opinions on the last episode’s bullying discussion.  We then have a chaotic and outrageous discussion about one of the greatest Japanese franchises ever created.  We go through a retrospective of the Dragon Ball series where we talk about each of the arcs while giving our thoughts and opinions.  This might be one of the most insane episodes yet.  Upon finishing the retrospective we talk about some new videogames including Twisted Metal and go into stories from working at the old gaming card shop, what 3DS games we’re looking forward to, what we find important in relationships, and more.

We then move in media news which includes Dragon Age, the cancellation of Shonen Jump magazine in the US, and some new games including Kingdom Amalur, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Jak and Daxter Collection.  We also talk about videogame achievements, tie-in merchandise, the new Evangelion movies, what the next step for console gaming is, and more.

037: Convention Chaos

In this episode Matt and Chris recount stories from their visit to OhayoCon starting with a rant regarding a podcasting panel that we went to.  We also go into some of the other things we’ve seen and done including a Dragon Ball panel and the Live Action MMO event that we hold.  We also discuss whether the Muppets are indeed getting too liberal as per a Fox News program as well as the fat and old version of Mega Man making an appearance in Street Fighter X Tekken.  Chris then gives his first impressions on Final Fantasy XIII-2 and we talk about Soul Calibur V and NeverDead as well.  We then finally hit the Q&A where we talk about things like scaling difficulty in games, overcoming stuttering in speaking, whether Persona 3: The Answer is worth playing, and more.
